My Personal Experience

I count myself fortunate, one of the happily married women but i am a mother too and like all mothers, i know the joys, the pains, the gains and the losses of motherhood.

I got married at a tender age; please don’t ask me how early or why that early.
I got married to my handsome young but responsible husband; none of us close to knowing what is expected of us….{my husband will kill me if he reads this},you know… i think he thought he knew what he was doing; i thought so too sometimes.

Anyway, three months after our wedding….something was wrong with me: i was sick to my stomach and the world got smelly, i could smell everything including my husband, i lost my appetite and most of my strength. I thought to myself “Oh!!, not again”..I had malaria very often those days and i thought i was sick again.

Fortunately, we lived just about 15 minutes drive away from my parents and my young mother was eager to help out with anything, she loved my husband so much; she still does.

The next day, we ran to her as usual and with tears flowing down my face as usual, we told our story. My mum knew it was no malaria, she gave me a hug and said i was fine. She did her magic.

Little me was going to be a mother. I was confused, scared, excited, confused again and finally proud of little me. My husband didn’t show much emotions but i could tell he was excited too.
The first three months was very difficult, but thank God, i had my support system intact.

Watch out for the rest of my story: the sweet as well as the sour.
Have a great day friends!!!…LOVE U ALL!!!!
